CONSULTATION
Head and Eye Concerns
Even with similar heaviness in the head or tired eyes, potentially contributing factors such as screen work, sleep, tension around the neck, shoulders or jaw, and movement habits vary from person to person. We assess your condition beyond just the head and eyes.
Are any of these concerns affecting you?
- Your eyes or head feel heavy after using a computer or smartphone
- A heavy feeling in your head accompanies neck and shoulder tension
- Your eyes still feel tired after resting them
- You feel stiffness or fatigue around your head during busy periods
- Your head or eyes feel uncomfortable after insufficient sleep
OUR VIEW
How we assess your body
We assess your vision, daily routines and the condition of surrounding areas, rather than focusing only on the head and eyes.
- Sudden vision changes, eye pain and previous eye or other medical consultations: We consider whether medical assessment should take priority over care at our clinic.
- Screen time, posture during work and breaks: We identify situations in which you feel strain.
- Movement and muscle tension around the neck, shoulders, shoulder blades and jaw: We assess these to avoid drawing conclusions from the head and eyes alone.
- Sleep, fatigue, and patterns of head heaviness and neck or shoulder symptoms: We consider how these relate to your daily routines.
When medical care should come first
If you experience a sudden severe headache, sudden vision changes or double vision, severe eye pain, weakness in an arm or leg on one side, or slurred speech, please seek medical care before treatment at our clinic.

Can I consult you about tired eyes if an eye doctor found no abnormalities?
Yes, if discomfort remains. We prioritize any necessary diagnosis or tests with an ophthalmologist or other medical institution. You can also consult us alongside medical treatment.
Will you use acupuncture if I have a headache?
We do not decide to use acupuncture from the word "headache" alone. After checking safety considerations, we choose an approach according to your condition, preferences and responses during the session. We will not insist on acupuncture if you feel very anxious or afraid.
When should I see an ophthalmologist or another medical professional first?
If you have severe eye pain or sudden changes in vision, please prioritize an ophthalmologist or another medical institution. Our Safety Information page provides more guidance on where to seek help.
